Sometimes, you see something that just cries out to be photographed. And so it was the other day, when I saw this herd of cherry pickers, driven south by the cold weather. Though they're gentle creatures, they can be fierce in defence of their young, so I kept very still, scarcely daring to breathe, as they passed by.
Is there a collective tem, herd does not seem quite right?
ReplyDeleteThey are magnificent in their clean winter coats...
I wish I'd seen this. You can't really take a bad photo of mechanical things. Giraffes come to mind. I'd photo those too if I had the chance.

nice angle =)
ReplyDeleteI see them as real creatures too! This is a lovely photo. Thanks for the teddy idea for my cardigan! :)

a bowl of cherrypickers, Coline? ...they can bowl along, then...
ReplyDeleteThey reminded me of the big brontosaurus thingies on Walking With Dinosaurs, Lucy. It might be fun to paint one like a giraffe though, come to think of it.
Thanks, Jessica!
..and thank you, Jess. I'm now racking my brains about the teddy bear!
