The posher butchers have taken to dangling pheasants outside their shops; I imagine it ties in with the clientele's huntin' and shootin' fantasies.Dru Marlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03697874363783821382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2448752251053894818.post-15972081946613289262012-02-24T16:37:45.772+00:002012-02-24T16:37:45.772+00:00Someone somewhere went hungry when they were dropp...Someone somewhere went hungry when they were dropped.Anjihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02562210585479814093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2448752251053894818.post-57391218558932973332012-02-24T13:29:33.642+00:002012-02-24T13:29:33.642+00:00sad how few bird names are known properly nowsad how few bird names are known properly nowgzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08034777779347889773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2448752251053894818.post-46456182366835830922012-02-24T06:47:40.713+00:002012-02-24T06:47:40.713+00:00We used to get regular supplies of birds like thes...We used to get regular supplies of birds like these often from friends who had received them as gifts but had a horror of dealing with the reality of their food...

The last one we got was lying in the road outside the house, must have been hit by a car.
